A calm and peaceful environment, adorned with both authentic and contemporary décor, the setting will leave no one indifferent.

Vernacular Cycladic Architecture

As an example of contemporary Cycladic architecture, Egeo brilliantly explores the art of living in Paros. Whitewashed walls, the leisurely pace of summer, and spectacular views of the Aegean Sea, including vistas of no less than seven islands, make it a timeless retreat.

The villa consists of a series of interconnected indoor spaces linked by courtyards and gardens. The space unfolds between the horizontal planes of the roof and the floor. With a succession of lush green patios and local stone walls, the exterior literally invites itself inside, confusing the visitor about whether they are indoors or outdoors. There is a genuine sense of escape, enhanced by the deliberate separation of bedrooms and shared spaces. The bedrooms become isolated islands, positioned to highlight the stunning views of the interior gardens and the sea.

The minimalist white volumes, stone walls, patios, and endemic plants blend seamlessly with the contours of the land and the Cycladic landscape. Egeo draws inspiration from the humble Cycladic tradition, enriched by "contemporary summer living.

A blend of traditional and contemporary, the villa is obviously inspired by the aesthetics and traditions of the Cyclades. Open to the Aegean sea breeze, the architecture soothes with its beautiful simplicity and the strength of the landscape.

A palette of traditional materials such as lime, stone, and wood creates a gentle and welcoming architecture. The owners have highlighted the skills of local artisans. The stone walls are hand-built in the old way, and the raw wooden pergolas serve multiple functions: they bridge the gap between stone and white, filter the sun’s rays, and provide shade and coolness for outdoor relaxation.

The house is built around the idea of a slow, calming summer life. “Form follows emotion rather than function”—each space invites its guests to meditation and contemplation.

Linen, wood, cane, natural stone, wooden furniture, and a collection of textures come together to create a languid lifestyle.

Egeo embraces the core principles of local architecture. Dedicated to a slow summer life, the house encourages its guests to enjoy the numerous spaces across the vast property (8,400 sq.m.) throughout the day. Boules, a heated pool, and shaded mattresses under the cedar tree make it a unique and privileged spot in Paros.

Paros and Architecture

Paros is one of the most authentic islands in the Cyclades and one of the finest examples of Cycladic architecture. The architecture features whitewashed volumes, local stone, cubic structures with flat roofs, built side by side and on top of each other, making them icons of Greece.

However, their aesthetics were not the main goal of their construction. The island’s early inhabitants sought ways to protect themselves from the strong winter winds and intense summer sun, which led to the concept of patios and pergolas.

Egeo, for a unique architectural experience in Paros!
